Rising medicine costs and limited healthcare budgets highlight the need to optimize public resource allocation. Many countries conduct healthcare evaluations, led by health technology assessment (HTA) agencies, to decide on reimbursement and access to new treatments. These assessments consider economic, organizational, social, and ethical factors, and are crucial in specific healthcare contexts. Established HTA agencies like England's NICE and France's HAS wield significant influence globally, shaping decisions of both existing and emerging HTA bodies. This study examines how ongoing HTA assessments by NICE and HAS may affect approval and pricing decisions by the Saudi Food and Drug Administration (SFDA).
